“Compliance is dry?”
Not with me.

Hi, I’m Julia Bach – and I help companies bring compliance to life!

My Journey

I come from both the SME and corporate worlds – with over 30 years in an international environment and more than a decade of experience in the operational implementation of compliance strategies. Today, I run my own company, dedicated to helping SMEs, in particular, find their own path – with a balanced approach, a human touch, and a methodical mindset.

I support organizations in not just “implementing” compliance, but in making it a lived experience: through robust structures, practical training, and individualized support. I am especially passionate about strengthening the role of compliance officers – as bridge builders between regulations and corporate culture.

Personal support for compliance officers in medium-sized businesses

What motivates me?

I’m here for the people who are responsible for compliance in medium-sized companies – often alone, caught in the middle, with high expectations and little support.

My motivation? To show you how, with clarity, empathy, and compelling communication, you can not only implement compliance but also bring it to life – as part of a strong corporate culture.

I want you to be seen. To be taken seriously. To be equipped with what you need to truly make a difference.

Because compliance isn’t a hindrance. It’s a strategic lever – if you use it correctly.

My style?

Clear, empathetic, and pragmatic. I work systematically – but never off-the-shelf. Every company is unique. That’s why I bring not only methods, but also genuine listening, a respectful approach, and a good dose of humor.

Communication connects. Structure empowers. Culture supports.

Customer testimonials

Imagine how it will feel to master your compliance role with clarity and confidence, receiving the recognition you deserve.

Here are some customer testimonials:

“In the Compliance Journey online course, I really appreciated the combination of visually appealing videos, which convey theoretical knowledge in modules, and the prompts for personal reflection in the group coaching sessions.

My perspective on communication options and my role has broadened. I was able to successfully integrate some of the ideas and examples directly into my compliance work in the following months, as the entire seminar was very practice-oriented. Receiving practical tips from Julia, a professional, and hearing the approaches and ideas of other compliance officers is a perfect combination.

In the subsequent coaching, I was able to work intensively with Julia one-on-one on my specific topics for several weeks, which inspired me and significantly advanced my role.”

The realization that in the field of compliance, the right communication doesn’t build walls, but bridges, inspires and motivates me anew every day.

Attitude + Responsibility + Communication = Culture

Looking back on my career, I see a common thread: the question of responsibility. Who bears it? Who takes it on? And what does it take for people to truly embrace it?

For over 30 years, I worked in international companies, experienced many cultures, and witnessed the diverse approaches to responsibility. My time as Ethics & Compliance Officer was particularly formative. There, I experienced daily that in practice, it’s not just about rules and regulations, but about much more fundamental questions:

  • How can compliance officers truly reach executives?

  • How do you develop a corporate culture where integrity is more than just a buzzword?

  • How do compliance officers remain credible – even when under pressure?

One insight has become particularly clear to me: Effective compliance doesn’t begin with rules, but with attitude and self-reflection. Because anyone who wants to encourage others to behave ethically must constantly ask themselves:

  • What values and principles drive me?

  • How do I come across to others – as a sparring partner or as a “rule enforcer”?

  • How do I build trust without losing my independence?

Compliance officers often find themselves in a difficult position: they are expected to minimize risks while simultaneously fostering a culture of openness. They must bridge the gap between legal requirements and business necessities. And above all, they need the support of senior management – because without a clear message from the top, any compliance strategy remains ineffective.

I’ve seen companies fail when integrity is treated as a mere formality. At the same time, I’ve witnessed what’s possible when leaders take a clear stance and treat compliance officers as strategic partners. This dynamic holds the key to an effective compliance culture – and that’s precisely where I come in.

Today, I support compliance officers and managers in shaping their role more consciously: with clarity, conviction, and the ability to inspire others to embrace integrity. Because compliance doesn’t work through pressure, but through persuasion – and that always starts with ourselves.

If these topics interest you, I look forward to exchanging ideas with you!
